With Super Bowl LVII upon us, Ohio sportsbooks are offering up a generous collection of sign-up bonuses and other promotions.
Ohio sports betting kicked off on Jan. 1. Those who have yet to sign up for online sportsbooks will find a variety of new-customer promos to choose from. And current Ohio bettors can take advantage of several Super Bowl-specific deals, including legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski’s “kick of destiny” for FanDuel.
DraftKings offering $200 in bonus bets for new customers
DraftKings Sportsbook Ohio offered one of the better Ohio pre-launch deals – $200 in bonus bets for new users who deposit and bet just $5. That deal is still on the table for new customers.
The bonus bets are disbursed in eight $25 increments. The bonus bets expire seven days after they are awarded, so bettors will need to make a plan for placing all eight.
Of course, Super Bowl week is a great time to have extra bets around. Sportsbooks will offer plenty of interesting Super Bowl prop bets and same-game parlays on top of the typical lines and player props. Ohio doesn’t currently offer as many novelty props as other markets, but there are still more betting options than usual.
One thing to keep in mind when using bonus bets — you do not get to keep the stake even if you win using a bonus bet. So if you place a $25 bonus bet to win $20, only the $20 in winnings goes back into your account (not the initial $25 bet).
FanDuel offering a “no sweat” bet up to $3,000
FanDuel Sportsbook Ohio’s promo offer for Super Bowl LVII is a no-sweat first bet. Also for new users only, FanDuel will award a bet credit for any losing bet up to $3,000.
That means new users can place a single bet on the Super Bowl knowing that they’ll be awarded a bet credit equal to their first bet amount in the event that they lose.
Again, it’s important to keep in mind that if the first bet loses and a bettor utilizes the bet credit, any winnings using the bet credit will not include the stake. So if you lose an initial $1,000 “no sweat” bet and are awarded a $1,000 bet credit, any winnings using the credit will not include the $1,000.
Still, a $3,000 max bet is quite high for a no-sweat promo, so FanDuel is upping the ante for the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl odds boosts and bet credit giveaways
Ohio sportsbooks have released a few odds boosts, no-sweat bets and bet credit sweepstakes so far, but Ohians will find more in their sportsbook accounts on Saturday and Sunday.
For now, FanDuel offers daily odds boosts on various outcomes, like Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts to combine for 4+ passing touchdowns (boosted to +120). FanDuel also has a Super Bowl No-Sweat SGP (3+ legs, min. +400 odds). If you lose, you’ll be credited with up to a $10 bet credit.
DraftKings, similarly, recently offered Jalen Hurts or Miles Sanders to score a rushing TD boosted to +100. They also have a “team to score first” boost to +150. DraftKings is also offering a $5 bet credit at login during the Super Bowl.
Tipico Sportsbook boosted 4+ FGs made to +145. Caesars is giving away a $57,000 bet credit to one user out of anyone who places a bet of at least $5 with odds of -200 or longer. BetMGM has a free-to-play prop game that offers a chance at $100,000 in prizes.
Gronk’s kick of destiny has $10 million in bet credits on the line
FanDuel bettors will be rooting for Gronk in addition to any Chiefs and Eagles bets. The future hall of famer is partnering with FanDuel on a promotion that could win Ohio bettors a slice of $10 million in bet credits.
Gronk will attempt a 25-yard field goal during a live commercial sometime during the third quarter. If Gronk makes the kick, everyone who bet on the game on FanDuel will split $10 million in bet credits.
NFL kickers make 25-yard field goals at around a 99% success rate. Gronk, of course, is not a kicker, but he can be seen training with legendary kickers and former Patriots teammate Adam Vinatieri in some pretty funny FanDuel advertisements leading up to the Super Bowl.
Ohio sportsbooks offering Squares, Bingo contests
Ohio sportsbooks including DraftKings, FanDuel and Caesars are offering their own versions of classic Super Bowl games like Squares and bingo.
With a squares bet, bettors choose the final digit in each team’s score. A squares bet might look like Chiefs 7, Eagles 3. With this bet, a player would win if each team’s score ends in those digits, like Chiefs 17, Eagles 13.
Sportsbooks often offer different Squares boards for each quarter, half and the final score of the Super Bowl.
DraftKings and BetRivers are offering free squares for opting into promos or placing as little as $10 in bets. FanDuel is also offering Squares, along with its take on the classic Bingo game. The FanDuel bingo card is populated with Super Bowl prop bets.
More Ohio Super Bowl promos on the way
Several other Ohio sportsbooks have sign-up bonuses and other offers on the table for new users.
In addition, most sportsbooks will offer promos on individual bets, like boosted odds that pay out more than a given Super Bowl betting line bet would normally be worth. Each sportsbook presents boosted odds differently — Bet365 Sportsbook Ohio offers both odds boosts and “super boosts,” for instance — and these types of offers will trickle in through out the week and over the weekend.
PlayOhio will continue to compile the best Ohio sportsbook Super Bowl offers in this article, so check back leading up to Super Bowl LVII.
