Caesars Sportsbook At Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse Stands Out Among Ohio Sportsbooks

Caesars Sportsbook Cleveland - 1

I have embarked on on a grand tour of sportsbooks in Ohio. The Buckeye State finally launched legal sports betting in Ohio at the turn of the year, something this lifelong Clevelander was anticipating heavily. My next stop along the tour was Caesars Sportsbook Cleveland.

Conveniently located in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, Caesars Sportsbook offers a lounge-style layout with plenty of comfortable seating options. It differs from other books I’ve visited in that it doesn’t feel like a casino or a sports bar. Perhaps it’s the most unique feel of a sportsbook in the state of Ohio.

Note: This review is about the physical location rather than the Caesars Sportsbook Ohio app itself.

Caesars Sportsbook Cleveland has a lounge-style, high-class feel

Head to Caesars Cleveland on a chilly January Saturday afternoon like I did, and you’re bound to get a good seat and top-notch service. While its location inside Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse is convenient, its location adjacent to the JACK Casino means you have to intentionally go there. For anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere to sweat out some bets and have a beer or two, I cannot recommend this place stronger.

Do note, drink prices raise to “arena pricing” during events. In this case, the AHL Cleveland Monsters were playing, which meant the price of a beer increased significantly at 6 p.m.

Caesars Cleveland is a day spot. Aside from more reasonable drink prices, you get a fantastic view of the Cuyahoga River, the I-71 bridge, and the old industrial section of Cleveland from Rocket Mortgage’s new glass atrium. This book also spans two stories — enter from Ontario Street (we opted to take the rapid into Tower City, but parking at Tower City and taking the skybridge is the best option here) and head upstairs.

The ticket windows are downstairs, along with another bar and some high top seating options. The bulk of the betting kiosks are also downstairs, although three kiosks are upstairs.

My favorite feature of this sportsbook is the split-level bar. On one side, you have the traditional bar stools, but on the other (pictured above), you have comfortable upholstered chairs. In terms of opulence, Caesars takes the cake.

Caesars Sportsbook offers comfort, great service

Caesars Cleveland has a more laid-back atmosphere than the Ohio retail sportsbooks located inside casinos. The entire space feels more like an upscale restaurant than it does a sportsbook, and I mean that in the best way. For a rowdy Friday night, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a comfortable Sunday afternoon to sweat out some NFL tickets, Caesars is your place.

The crowd on this Saturday leaned older than the crowds at MGM Northfield or JACK Cleveland Casino.

Especially when the space isn’t packed wall-to-wall, service is excellent here. I was asked if there was any specific contest I’d like on any of the TVs; it’s clear service is emphasized in training.

Overall, Caesars offered one of the best experiences of any book I have visited so far. Despite higher drink prices, mark it down as one worth visiting regularly.
