Moneymaker Tour Stop Highlights Ohio Poker Schedule In September

Summertime in Ohio is full of poker tournament action, with several national tours stopping in the Buckeye State. Another major tour ushers in the fall season later this month at the Hard Rock Casino in Cincinnati.

In addition, Hollywood Casino Toledo offers a promotion all month long leading up to a $25,000 freeroll tournament. Lastly, Hollywood Columbus and JACK Cleveland continue their popular daily and monthly events.

Summer might be ending, but the poker excitement doesn’t have to. Read on to find the best Ohio poker events in your area.

Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati welcomes the Moneymaker Tour

The biggest tournament news this month Moneymaker Tour stop at Hard Rock Casino.

There’s still time to play one of the main event satellites. The tournament kicks off at the Hard Rock Event Center on Sept. 21. The 18-event stop concludes on Oct. 2.

The Moneymaker tour will supersede the nightly tournaments on Friday and Saturday nights in the last two weeks of September. In other words, the nightly tournaments on Sept. 22, 23, 29 or 30 will be canceled.

A couple of special tournaments will be added to the usual daily events this month at Hard Rock:

Friday Sept. 8: $200 NLH – 6:15 p.m. – $10,000 guarantee; Plus $100 Black Chip Bounty
Monday Sept. 18: $300 NLH Senior Tournament – 10:15 a.m. – $25,000 guarantee

Daily $100 tournaments run Monday-Friday at 10:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Select days offer prize pool guarantees up to $10K.
Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month offer $200 NL tournaments, with $10K guarantees on Sundays. Morning tournaments start at 11:15 on Saturdays.

JACK Casino Cleveland

JACK Casino wrapped up the Mid States Poker Tour this month, featuring more than a week of Hold ‘Em and Omaha tournament action. The main event drew 960 entries and the Pot Limit Omaha tournament broke a Jack Cleveland record for the largest prize pool for an Omaha tournament at $22,860.

Looking ahead, JACK Casino continues daily tournaments with great prize pools every day of the week. In addition, Saturdays through September feature a JACK Poker Weekend Main Event Satellite that will award two seats to the $600 JPW Main Event.

Thursdays: $300 NLH – 3:15 p.m. – $10,000 guarantee
Fridays: $200 DeepStack NLH – 12:15 p.m. – $5,000 guarantee
Saturdays: $220 Double Green Chip Bounty NLH – 12:15 p.m. – $5,000 guarantee
Sundays: $260 NLH – 12:15 p.m. – $10,000 guarantee

Hollywood Casino Columbus

As usual, the Hollywood Casino Columbus Monthly Mega $30K tournament will take place on the third Sunday, Sept. 17. The buy-in is $300 to compete for a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament starts at 12:15 p.m., with late registration through level 12.

Turbo Tournaments continue Monday through Friday with $60 buy-ins and $1,000 in prizes. 15-minute levels mean a quicker pace. Games start 12:15 p.m.

Additional weekly tournaments offer larger prize pools.

Mondays: $100 Green Chip Bounty – 7:15 p.m. – $4K guarantee
Wednesdays: $200 Top Tier – 7:15 p.m. – $10K guarantee ($4K for first place)
Thursdays: $100 Power Stack – 7:15 p.m. – $7K guarantee
Sundays: $160 Sunday Super 10K – 12:15 p.m. – $10K guarantee

Hollywood’s popular High Hands promotions continue throughout the week, awarding $300-$600 each hour or half-hour during most of the day every day.

Hollywood Casino Toledo

Poker players at Hollywood Toledo have chances all month long to win free entry into a $25,000 tournament. The $30,000 Fall Frenzy Freeroll promo will allow players to earn one entry into a drawing for every hour of cash play. Then, 20 names will be drawn on Sept. 29 to win entry into the tournament.

In addition, the two highest hands on Saturday, Sept. 30 will win $2,500 each.

The Freeroll Tournament will be held on Oct. 1.

Hollywood’s generous High Hands will also run all month long as usual.
