Hollywood Casino Toledo

There’s been a lot of shuffling going on at Hollywood Casino Toledo, with various expansion and construction projects being completed over the last couple years.

During the process of building out a new outdoor gaming terrace, restaurant and Barstool-branded sportsbook inside the Ohio casino, Hollywood Toledo ended up with a surplus of items that are now up for auction.

Poker tables, vending carts and all sorts of promotional materials are listed among 500 items up for auction. Here’s a look at some of the more intriguing items and how to bid on them.

Hollywood Toledo auctions hundreds of items

Online auction company Local Auctions currently lists over 500 items from the Art Deco-inspired Hollywood Casino Toledo. All are welcome to bid by registering for free at LocalAuctions.com. Bidding is open until noon EST on Monday, Feb. 6.

The bidding starts at $5 for each lot. Bidders will find furniture, restaurant equipment, cookware, housewares and much more.

“I think this is an amazing opportunity for Ohio residents to bid on and buy something from one of the first casinos to open in Ohio,” said Gabriel Prado, founder and CEO of Local Auctions.

Prado added: “Even though there are no slot machines for auction, there are some amazing and unique items to bid on for businesses and residents alike.”

Have you been looking for one of these?

There are no slot machines and no funky casino signage to decorate the man cave, but here are a few items that caught our eye.

  • Ten-Person Poker Tables: Organize a Monte Carlo night or turn your basement into a speakeasy bar with one or both of the poker tables up for auction. They seat 10 people, so call your friends. The auction features various chairs to complete the outfit.
  • Hot Dog Street Vending Cart: Itching for a career change? You can hit the streets as a hot dog vendor in no time with this New York City hot dog cart, complete with steam table, running water and beverage cooler.
  • Yuengling Patio Umbrella: Keep the sun off your neck while hawking dogs, or use it on the back patio. Whether you actually drink Yuengling beer is up to you.
  • Red Bull Portable Cooler: If Red Bull gives you wings, you could fly away with the number of cans this cooler can hold. It has wheels and looks like a giant Red Bull can. Pretty cool.
  • Four-Foot Tall Stainless Steel Wire Whisks: You’re not going to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s largest pancake without a giant whisk to stir your batter. They also make great wall-hangers.

Hollywood Casino Toledo auction details

When bidding on items, remember that there is a 15% buyer’s premium added to the price if you win the item. Item pick up will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m.

Local Auctions is asking bidders not to contact the casino for questions about the auction. The auction company’s phone number is (602) 875-7336.

Barstool Sportsbook on the way to Toledo

Hollywood Toledo’s parent company, PENN Entertainment, is in the process of adding retail Barstool Sportsbooks to all four of its Ohio properties:

The Barstool Sportsbook Ohio app is already live in Ohio, having partnered with Hollywood Columbus for market access. Ohio sports betting kicked off on Jan. 1.
