FanDuel Responsible Gaming

With September being Responsible Gaming Education Month, FanDuel is investing majorly in its responsible gaming advocacy efforts.

FanDuel Sportsbook has proven to be the top online sportsbook since launching in Ohio. However, there is always a concern about problem gambling and what measures are being taken to prevent it.

As a result, FanDuel is introducing a comprehensive series of new initiatives to educate fans on responsible gaming. The Flutter-owned company will utilize a unique combination of talent, content and partnerships to further the company’s efforts.

FanDuel boosting responsible gambling efforts in Ohio

FanDuel is one of the dominating forces in the Ohio sports betting market. Since its launch, the FanDuel Ohio ranks first in all-time handle and revenue.

Consequently, they have paid the state over $24.2 million in taxes. The company also runs an in-person sportsbook at Belterra Park Cincinnati Racino.

With all this betting going on, it is important not to forget how much responsible gambling resources can help someone in crisis.

This month, FanDuel will premiere its new responsible gaming advertising campaign. The operator is breaking out a new iteration of “The System.” Part two of the multi-media campaign is viewable by clicking this link.

The effort is backed by significant media investment and will air throughout the football season. The advertising highlights FanDuel’s Play Well tools, like wager and time limits that customers can set up for responsible gaming play.

Those efforts will also be extended to FanDuel employees. On Sept. 26, FanDuel will hold its second annual Play Well Day. It is an employee-only event focusing on the company’s commitment to building a culture focused on customer protection.

Play Well Day will include all-day seminars with FanDuel executives, industry leaders and FanDuel’s RG Ambassadors, who will discuss each employee’s everyday role in promoting safer play for customers.

Soccer icon Carli Lloyd and golf star Tom Kim become newest FanDuel RG Ambassadors

One of the keys to FanDuel’s success has been the operator’s ability to bring in high-profile sports stars to help promote its product and initiatives. Now, the company is adding to that talent roster. Global soccer icon Carli Lloyd and PGA Tour’s Tom Kim are becoming members of FanDuel’s Responsible Gaming team.

Lloyd and Kim will work to raise awareness of the importance of responsible play. Additionally, they will promote FanDuel’s tools for fans to help manage their play. That includes deposit limits, wager limits, time limits and more.

Lastly, they will appear in responsible gaming advertising with NFL legend Rob Gronkowski and FanDuel TV host Kay Adams.

Ohio bettors can also find many responsible gambling resources in The Buckeye State. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline 24/7 at 1-800-589-9966.
