Big changes are coming to the only casino in Cincinnati.
Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati announced earlier this month that it would invest roughly $1.2 million in its convention and event center.
“Whether your meeting is for business, for a wedding or a private party, Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati is your destination for world-class food, fun and gaming,” Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati President Justin Wyborn said in a release. “We look forward to upgrading our venues to serve as the go-to location for meetings and conventions in Cincinnati.”
What is getting redone at the casino?
According to a press release, the renovations include new carpeting and drapery. The casino will also update its amenities and also feature more modern furniture. As Wyborn said, the casino’s goal is to ensure its convention and events center is top of the line.
For those looking to book an event (or with any questions), call the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati’s sales team at (513) 250-3258.
The casino currently boasts a massive amount of meeting space – 33,000 square feet. These areas are available to rent for various events. Customer favorites include the Ballroom, River Room and the casino’s outdoor patio.
However, other areas of the casino – such as the Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Hard Rock Cafe and the Plum Lounge – are also available for rent.
When will Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati’s renovations end?
As of now, renovations aren’t projected to take up that much of the upcoming year. The company believes all will be complete around spring 2024.
Additionally, there will be no disruptions to the casino’s hours. The facility will remain open throughout the entire renovation process.
What to know about Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati
In total, the sprawling facility boasts 100,000 square feet of gaming space. There are about 1,600 slot machines and around 100 table games for customers to enjoy.
The casino hosts one of the most popular poker rooms in Ohio. It has 31 tables and caters to those both novices and veterans alike. Recently, the casino hosted the Moneymaker Tour, a high-end poker event. It’s hosted other poker events, such as the Queen City Bounty Poker Series and Cincinnati Poker Open – a sign that the casino is the place for bettors.
It’s also a signal to regulators that Hard Rock International would likely make a splash in a market featuring legal real-money online poker in Ohio, which will surely materialize whenever Ohio online casinos become legal.
A sportsbook calls the casino home, too. The Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati’s sportsbook was the top-performing retail sportsbook in Ohio. During the first month of legal Ohio sports betting, the sportsbook totaled a handle of $4.4 million, which amounted to $792,713 in revenue.
With the upcoming renovations coupled with the existing amenities, Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati has positioned itself to be the top destination for gambling in the area.
