Tipico joins the Crew as official sportsbook partner

One of the world’s leading sportsbook operators, Tipico, announced a new partnership with the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer.

Tipico is now the Crew’s official and exclusive sports betting partner.

Tipico will launch a mobile betting app when online sports betting in Ohio goes live. Players will have the chance to take advantage of promotional opportunities, giveaways and sweepstakes.

Haslam Sports Group Chief Operating Officer David Jenkins announced the move in a press release saying:

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with a highly respected global brand and passionate soccer enthusiast in Tipico. As they make their foray into Ohio, our long-term agreement with Tipico represents an exciting development for Crew supporters and sports fans in Central Ohio and throughout the state. Providing a world-class experience for supporters is at the core of what we do. And so we look forward to increasing fan engagement opportunities in Columbus and throughout Ohio through this partnership.”

The Haslam Sports Group took over ownership and management of the Crew in 2018.

Tipico is one of the premier companies in the world of online sports betting with its roots in Germany and throughout Europe. It has started to make inroads in the American market as more states have legalized sports betting.

Tipico has partnered with Caesars Sportsbook to create access for players in Iowa and Indiana. And they opened a technology hub in Denver in Aug. of 2021. Tipico is also the exclusive iGaming provider for Gannett Inc. a chain of newspapers throughout America that includes USA Today.

As part of the association, Tipico gets exclusive branding rights to marquee spots at the new home of the Crew, Lower.com Field. The Crew has agreed to rebrand interior stadium assets: the Tipico Beer Garden and the Tipico Club.
